AMT 1/24 1970 Balwin Camaro

I had not built any car models since I was very young.  They can be very challenging and take a whole new set of skills I had not practiced in some time.  But I felt up to the task when I came across this kit at Hobby Lobby.  It was a re-issue of a kit I had not seen since the late 70's in the original box with retro box art.  It rekindled the passion I had as a kit to build cool muscle cars of the 60s and 70s.  This kit was made using many after market photo-etch and metal parts, as well as, many scratch built custom parts.  One such custom feature is the addition of stainless steel wire brake lines, and complete engine wiring harness, hoses and cables.  I worked a week on the paint job alone priming, wet sanding, and buffing over and over, finally finishing by using a rubbing compound and polish to get that high gloss wet look.  I enjoyed this model so much I went on to build many more model cars even getting paid to make cars for people who wanted a model of their own hot-rod or favorite NASCAR driver.  If you want a model car built specifically for you please use the contact form on this site to let me know and we can talk.
